Review of Stuff Slated for Retirement

I ordered a bunch of the stuff slated for upcoming retirement and it arrived today. I have to give AG a C out the gate for accuracy- they missed sending my Camp Gowonagin outfit completely! It was on the invoice, but not in the box. *sigh* So I have another week of waiting til I get that. [img]frown.gif[/img] I hope it comes soon- it is needed for some hiking and camping over Memorial Day.

As for the other stuff...
Molly's Nighttime Necessities: The lamp is really cute, even though the base is plastic. I like how it really works. The Nancy Drew book is darling- just like the ones I had when I was a kid! (Made me want to track down a ND book and read one again!) My Jess (who is my 40s girl) is happy to have some new stuff for her house. The water bottle is also cute. A

Molly's Stocking: I'm not that impressed with this, but I figure if I don't like it I can always return it or sell it on ebay after it's retired. The stocking is well made, but nothing very special- I see little stockings at craft stores every Christmas. The flip book is cute- I like that. The yo-yo is the best part- it is real wood. The barrettes are just normal plastic barrettes- you can get tons at the store for about $2. The paint set is OK; plastic but it is in scale. The ballerina and the candy cane were most disappointing to me. The ballerina was plastic and, IMO, ugly. She has a wierd face. The candy cane looks really fake and is sort of hard foam with red ribbon. I much prefer the FIMO candy canes Cherry made me. B-

Molly's Saddle Shoes and Oxfords: They are OK. Neither are great quality, but I need shoes. Kit's Oxfords are much nicer. I'll keep them though, because poor Jess and Kit have a very limited shoe collection without them. They get into fights about shoes, so we needed more options. [img]tongue.gif[/img] B-

AGT Beach Wardrobe: I really like this set. It has lots of pieces to mix and match- enough to dress at least two dolls for the beach at a time, and it's very well made IMO. The bikini is a little skimpy to me, but cute. I LOVE the little embroidered robe thingie and the hoodie- too cute! And I'm glad it comes with sunglasses- can't have too many different pairs! The sandals are really cute and I like the tiny beaded anklet. A

AGT Beach Boots (Blue): Somehow I hate ugg boots on people, but love them on dolls. Go figure. Anyhoo, these are very cute and authentic. A

Coconut and Licorice's Seaside Accessories: This is sooo cute! Love the leis, the sunglasses, the towel, the starfish that is magnetic. A

Spider Witch Costume: This is kind of ugly to me, but somehow I like it anyway. It seems very much like a real costume and works as a sort of dark fairy kind of outfit to me. The tights and shoes are great. I wouldn't have felt it was worth it paying full price, but for the sale price, I like it. B

Now just to save up to get the monthly specials...
